What is Base Builder and who is it for?

Base Builder is a technology-driven training platform specifically designed for performance-oriented athletes in sports like HYROX, hybrid competition, and ambitious running. We specialize in sustainable performance development, helping athletes build a physical foundation to prevent injury and avoid stagnation.

Who is Base Builder NOT suitable for?

Base Builder is likely not the right fit if you want random "sweat sessions". We prioritize long-term structure over random daily workouts. It's not the right fit if you want a fully automated AI. We use AI for analysis, but we believe in Human-in-the-Loop coaching. It doesn't work for you if you ignore pain. Our philosophy is "health first." If you are looking to push through injury without addressing the root cause, our (P)Rehab approach may frustrate you.

How does Base Builder differ from generic training apps?

Unlike standard fitness apps or "WOD" generators, Base Builder prioritizes injury prevention and return-to-sport protocols. We combine AI-supported movement analysis with a Human-in-the-Loop verification process. This ensures every training plan is based on an athlete's actual movement quality and functional deficits, rather than just generic volume or intensity.

Is Base Builder suitable for Hyrox and Hybrid Athletes?

Yes. Base Builder is specifically optimized for the demands of hybrid competitions like Hyrox. We address the common "intensity trap" where athletes train hard but lack the necessary maximum strength and joint stability. Our programs focus on building the physical robustness required to handle high-volume endurance and strength demands safely.

Is Base Builder suitable if I have had injuries in the past?

Yes. One of our core differentiators is our focus on Return-to-Sport and injury prevention. Unlike generic plans, our Movement Analysis identifies functional deficits that may cause recurring pain. For athletes with a significant injury history, we recommend the BUILDER PRO tier for fully individualized programming and close supervision.

Can I combine Base Builder with other sports?

Yes. Base Builder is designed to be the "strength and stability engine" of your training. For Runners: Our plans provide the necessary strength and injury resilience work to support high mileage. For Hybrid Athletes: We structure the week to balance intensity, ensuring you don't burn out while training for events like HYROX.

Training Plans & Subscription Tiers

What are the differences between the Base Builder subscription tiers?

We offer three distinct tiers to match the level of individualization required:´. BASE (Structured & Social): Best for healthy athletes seeking structure. Includes a synchronized community training plan (updated every 6 weeks) to train alongside the "Tribe." BUILDER (Semi-Personalized): Best for athletes with minor weaknesses. Includes the community plan plus personalized accessory exercises based on AI movement analysis. BUILDER PRO (Fully Individualized): Best for return-to-sport or specific goals. Includes a fully individualized schedule, deep-dive movement analysis, and bi-weekly 1-on-1 online consultations.

How do I know which program is right for me?

We use a specific Product Finder Quiz before you subscribe. This assesses your goals, training demands and experience to match you with the correct tier (BASE, BUILDER, or PRO).

Is there a program for beginners or those new to lifting?

Yes. For athletes with no prior weightlifting experience, we offer a specific 6-Week Fundamentals Program. This course focuses on learning proper technique, common movement patterns, and safe lifting mechanics before progressing to higher-intensity load training.

How often are the training plans updated?

BASE & BUILDER: The training cycle rotates every 6 weeks to ensure progressive overload and new stimuli. BUILDER PRO: Additional to a 6-week rotation plans are adjusted continuously based on your bi-weekly consultations and progress.

Technology & Assessment

What is a "Movement Screen" and how does it work?

The movement screen (or analysis) is our tool for assessing your physical readiness. It is a remote, video-based process. UPLOAD: You record specific movement patterns and upload them to our secure portal. AI DETECTION: Our software analyzes the video to detect functional deficits. HUMAN VERIFICATION: A qualified coach reviews the AI data to ensure accuracy. RESULT: The results are used to prescribe exercises that fix your specific weaknesses (specifically in BUILDER and PRO tiers).

Do I need specific equipment?

Yes. We do not offer bodyweight-only plans because we believe external load is required for athletic robustness. Users require access to basic strength equipment (barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells), making it suitable for commercial gyms or well-equipped home gyms.

Where do I access my training plan?

All training is delivered via the Everfit app (iOS/Android). This is where you view your daily workouts, track your weights, and watch video tutorials for every exercise.

Do I need a wearable (Fitness Watch etc.)?

Not necessarily, a wearable device is not required to start training. You simply need your smartphone to record assessment videos and access the app. For running sessions wearables are a helpful tool to track pace and heart rate.

Community & Events (Tribe Performance)

What is Tribe Performance?

Tribe Performance is the community arm of Base Builder. It connects athletes via local WhatsApp groups (currently active in Munich and Cologne) and organizes meetups to foster accountability. While training is individual, the Tribe ensures no athlete has to train in isolation.

How can I connect with other athletes or find training partners near me?

Upon joining, you gain access to our regional WhatsApp Communities. This is where athletes coordinate meetups, share results, and find training partners.

What types of events does Base Builder offer?

We organize 3 types of events. COMMUNITY MEETUPS: Casual runs or social gatherings (often free or donation-based). GROUP CLASSES: In-person coached sessions (currently in Munich). TRAINING CAMPS & WORKSHOPS: Paid, multi-day events or specific race-prep workshops (e.g., HYROX preparation).

Payments, Policy & Support

Is Base Builder available internationally?

Yes. As a digital-first platform, you can train with Base Builder from anywhere in the world. Our app, support, and plans are accessible globally.

Is there a free trial?

No. Due to the high level of human involvement in the initial assessment and planning phase, we do not offer free trials. We focus on working with committed athletes ready to invest in their long-term health.

How does the subscription and cancellation work?

We offer 2 payment models. Monthly Subscription: Flexible cancellation with one month's notice. 6-Month Subscription: A discounted monthly rate with a binding 6-month commitment (billed monthly).

What if I am injured?

If you have a current injury, we strongly recommend the BUILDER PRO tier so we can fully tailor the plan around your limitations. Disclaimer: We are not doctors. Participation is at your own risk, and we are happy to coordinate with your medical professional if desired.

Can I add extra coaching or support?

Yes. If you are on the BASE or BUILDER tier but need specific advice (e.g., technique review or race strategy), you can book single 20-minute online consultations or Personal Training sessions (if in Munich) without upgrading your full subscription.
